A place for happiness and harmony
I wish it was so easy to say just one thing that makes me happy in the UAE. The country itself makes not only my family happy, but every single resident here. We are happy to live here for various reasons with the peace, love and harmony that we get to experience. No matter whatever or wherever the Earth goes politically, socially or individually, the UAE is always here with perfect rules of love and happiness. All people, Emiratis and expatriates stay here happily and would love to stay year after year. We are blissfully blessed people.

Respect for religions
I appreciate the multi-culturalism, the freedom that an expatriate gets here. The respect for all religions is one of the many reasons why the UAE is one of the happiest nations in the region.

Happiness with peace
I love the easy living, the commuting, not paying tax, multi-cultural friends and tolerance. There is also safety and security, respect for anyone and the fact that it’s a very clean place to live. We can live our lives with our cultural traditions. The authorities and Rulers make me feel at peace.

Home is happiness
Well, I’ve been a resident in Dubai for more than 57 years! I arrived here when I was around six weeks old, when the UAE was still the Trucial States. I feel it goes without saying that I am very happy here, this is my home! Need I say more?

We are all friends
The very fact that all nationalities and different religions have no problem with each other here in this country shows how people are content. Issues among sects that we see in other countries aren’t present here. Hindus and Muslims are friends. Muslims and Christians are friends. Indians and Pakistanis are friends. The only thing we hate is crime and not only the authorities protect us from this, but safety is precious to residents, too.

My family is safe
There is hardly any crime like what we have to experience in other countries. I can sleep at night. My son doesn’t come home from work until midnight every night and that doesn’t worry me. I know he is safe. The police keep us safe at all times.

Being part of the vision
The UAE as a country makes me happy and proud. It is undoubtedly the best place to live and work. The young country is an inspiration to the world. However, what sets the UAE apart from the rest is its great people who live in utmost harmony and the high level of tolerance and acceptance. To me, the UAE has been my home for the last 27 years. I feel extremely fortunate and happy to be born and raised in a country that is well known for its generosity, visionary leaders, inspirational ideologies, world class facilities, welcoming people and beautiful sunshine. The country is leading by example. I pray that this wonderful country grows and prospers and continues to get better by the day.

Shopping, shopping, shopping!
I love finding good deals shopping in Dubai - this makes me happy. All items in day-to-day Bur Juman are so cheap and good quality. You can find deals and that’s why I buy a lot at once, especially clothing and apparel. Also finding sales at outlet stores is a lot of fun. It’s great to find these sales on original branded products. Last but not the least is even the grocery store shopping. There is so much opportunity to find the cheapest items depending on if you know where to go. That’s why I love Dubai!

No place like it
The UAE is a land of benevolent Rulers, peace and prosperity, safety and amity, discipline and generosity. I am an expatriate who has been living in this amazing country for the past 36 years. I can proudly aver that no other place would have given me the kind of happiness, hope, opportunities and security that the UAE has given me. It is the only place in the world where more than 200 nationalities live under one umbrella peacefully and harmoniously and follow their faith. It is a place where people learn about honesty, spreading love and humaneness. A country’s progress depends on how happy its people are. The UAE is the finest example of it.

Finding and taking opportunities
I love the UAE because here we will get lots of entertainment and lots of prizes! The UAE is the best tourist place for shopping. When the holidays or weekend comes we don’t feel bored because there are many beautiful places to see and many things to do. I have won lots of prizes through the radio, Facebook and through many competitions. There are strict rules for careless driving or illegal activities, which makes us feel safe.
There are many opportunities that the UAE has given us to save money through national bonds, good jobs and good futures for our children. Sometimes we neglect these opportunities and live life our own way and that puts us in trouble. I salute what the UAE has given me and my family the chance to stay here and get lots of opportunities. I love the UAE and I am very proud of the nation.

Feeling at home
The UAE is the most beautiful, wonderful, peaceful country. The people are friendly and they are hardworking. The environment is very clean. You can see colourful flowers almost everywhere you go. You can do your shopping anytime, you can walk freely. There is such a high standard of security and police patrolling. You can really feel at home.
