Ingredients
600 gms puff pastry
100 ml milk
50 ml cream
50 gms cashew nuts
50 gms almond flakes
50 gms raisins
50 gms sugar
10 ml vanilla essences
5 gms saffron
20 ml whipping cream
50 gms coconut powder
Method
1. Preheat the oven to 200 C.
2. Unroll the puff pastry sheets, and place it flat on a baking sheet. Bake for 15 minutes in a preheated oven, or until puffed and golden brown.
3. Pour the milk into a saucepan, and stir in the sugar and vanilla. Heat until hot but not quite boiling. Pour over the mixture in the baking dish.
4. Break the puff pastry into pieces, and place in a large bowl. Add the raisins, almonds, pine nuts, and coconut, and toss to distribute. Pour into a 9x13 inch glass baking dish, and spread evenly.
5. Bake for 15 minutes in the preheated oven. Turn the oven to broil, and broil for 2 minutes to brown the top. Remove from the oven and let stand for 5 minutes. Serve warm.
