Abu Dhabi: A total of 222 special vehicle plate numbers of the first category are now up for grabs in Abu Dhabi, it was announced on Friday.
The plate numbers were launched by Abu Dhabi Police in cooperation with UAE Auction to mark the 10th anniversary of the first special vehicle plate numbers auction which had been organised by the UAE Auction.
The one-week auction, which will end on May 12, involves one-digit plate bearing the number 7 of the first category, two and three-digits plates as well as 106 four-digit plates and 102 five-digit plates.
The newly introduced plates includes an array of special numbers such as 12, 77, 100, 111, 1010, 7777, 1212, 2020, 5151, 7777 and 11111.
Abdullah Matar Al Mannai, Executive Director of Emirates Auction, said that Abu Dhabi was again giving an opportunity for lovers of distinctive numbers to acquire special numbers for their cars where they can visit and register in the online auction website which is run by UAE Auction.
