Porsche’s success with the four-wheel-drive 961 led to all-wheel drive being banned by most sanctioning bodies in the Nineties. This presented a problem for Porsche, but the solution was the rear-wheel-drive GT2.

Porsche created the GT2 to get around bans on all-wheel drive by racing sanctioning bodies. Eliminating all-wheel drive also made the GT2 significantly lighter than the Turbo. The car for sale has a Polar Silver exterior with a black-and-gray two-tone interior.
