The Audi RS Q8, the German brand’s most powerful SUV coupe can now be ordered in the Middle East markets. Expected to reach dealerships across the region by end of March, the RS Q8 is the flagship model in the Ingolstadt carmaker’s Q product line.

“The Q8 was our biggest selling model in 2019 in the Middle East and we can’t wait to welcome the RS version to our markets this year.” said Carsten Bender, Managing Director of Audi Middle East. “The RS Q8 has the genes of a true high-performance sports car combined with the flexibility of an SUV– so this is exactly where we see a high demand in the Middle East.”

With 600 horsepower and 800Nm of torque from a 4.0-litre V8, the SUV coupe accelerates from 0 to 100kph in just 3.8 seconds.

The biturbo V8’s mild-hybrid system (MHEV) is based on a 48-volt main electrical system, that lets the RS Q8 coast for up to 40 seconds with the engine off and the start/stop operates at a speed of up to 22 kph. Audi claims this setup has the potential to reduce fuel consumption in everyday driving by as much as 0.8 litres per 100 kilometres.

With variable ground clearance, short overhangs, quattro permanent all-wheel drive and hill descent control, the new Audi RS Q8 promises to be adept at handling off-road duties as well as it does on the tarmac.

Being an RS model, the dual exhaust system lets the engine note be altered via the Audi drive select system. The RS sport exhaust system with black tailpipe trims come as standard.
