abu singer — Egyptian singer and songwriter Abu, takes inspiration from his father, a Sufi poet, and is celebrated for promoting social issues through his music. He first discovered the power of words at just nine years old. A unique voice, at 13 he added guitar and songwriting to his already impressive piano-playing skills. starting from scratch dj — On October 29, Canadian artist DJ Starting from Scratch will demonstrate how he’s a dab hand at performing for stadium-sized crowd, having worked with the likes of Usher, Kanye West, New Kids on the Block and John Legend, and manned the decks on tour with celebrated comedian Russell Peters. Also from Canada comes rapper, producer, DJ and record executive Kardinal Offishall, who has been putting his nation on the music map for a quarter of a century. Late Nights @ Expo takes place at Dubai Millennium Amphitheatre on October 28 and Jubilee Stage on October 29, from 10.30pm to 1am.
