There is nary a doubt that Dubai’s Museum of the Future is an architectural tour-de-force. The stunning exterior design that has no visible columns has been dubbed the “Most Beautiful Building int the World” and deservedly so. However, the exterior gives way to an interior that is equally stunning when it comes to architecture.
Spanning over seven floors there are distinct design flourishes on every level, starting with the lobby. The expansive welcome area is finished in white and features the signature calligraphy of the exterior.
Then, there is the Future Heroes floor, which, pardon the pun, has a more playful design and provides a dedicated area for children. Affording them an open world of exploration and play. However, it’s not just fun and games, the area is specifically designed to encourage children to develop skills that are future-proof.
For those looking a more serene experience, there is the Al Waha spa, or more accurately, a futuristic spa. The water features provide a tranquil atmosphere, while the digital floor, which is complemented by a special carpet, provides the sensation of a stroll down a sandy beach.
Keeping with natural theme, the Heal Institute has been designed to educate visitors about the power and beauty of nature. The idea behind this level is to use technology such as Artificial Intelligence to heal the many of Earth’s ecosystems. When it comes to design, the large screens, project videos of the Amazon Rainforest to bring the point home.
The OSS (Orbital Space Station) Hope on level 5, meanwhile, catapults visitors into space through a “space shuttle”, as they peer down at the planet and a ‘future Dubai.’ There is plenty to experience once onboard the OSS Hope, including discovery missions and more.
