Dubai: If you are visiting Global Village this season, you can explore the multicultural family theme park on an electric abra.
The abras are operated by Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) and the 15-minute ride allows you to discover Global Village.
Global Village officially reopened for its 28th season on Wednesday, October 18, and to welcome the new season, the apart from the electric abra, the popular outdoor attraction also announced discounted ticket prices, it's new entertainment line-up, and an affordable daily special bus service to transport visitors. Here's all you need to know about the ongoing Season 28.
Discounted entry tickets for Global Village
According to Global Village, ticket prices for Season 28 start from Dh22.50.
You can get this price if you purchase the ticket online, as the website offers a 10 per cent discount. On site, the tickets start from Dh25.
Online bookings can be made through Global Village’s official website www.globalvillage.ae, or mobile app ‘Global Village’, available for Apple and Android devices.

Tickets for shows and attractions
Visitors can access all 27 pavillions, which showcase different countries and regions culture, food and performances, for free. However, certain shows require an entry fee.

Special bus service for just Dh10
RTA operates a dedicated bus service for Global Village, and on October 18, RTA also announced that it has added a new line - Route 107, which departs from Al Nahda (behind Sahara Centre) to Global Village.
Here are all the bus routes on the dedicated Global Village service:
1. Route 102 - From Al Rashidiya Bus Station Gate 5 in Rashidiya
2. Route 103 - From Union Square Bus Station in Deira
3. Route 104 - From Al Ghubaiba Bus Station in Al Fahidi
4. Route 106 - From the Mall of the Emirates Metro Station
5. Route 107 - From Al Nahda (behind Sahara Centre)
The buses from each of these stations will depart every 60 minutes.

Weekdays - 2pm to 1.30am the next day
Weekends - 2pm to 2.30am the next day

To travel on the bus, you need to make sure you have a nol card with enough balance for a two-way trip. If you do not have sufficient balance in your nol card, you can top it up with the ‘Nol Pay’ app, which is available for Apple, Android, and Huawei devices, or from the nol top-up machines located at the bus stations.
Travel from Ras Al Khaimah to Global Village for Dh30
Ras Al Khaimah Transport Authority (RAKTA) will operate a special bus service from Ras Al Khaimah to Global Village every Friday, Saturday and Sunday during the ongoing season. The cost for a round trip is Dh30.

Free fireworks, live circus show and world-class concerts – the entertainment line-up for Global Village’s 28th season
Visitors will get to enjoy free fireworks show every Friday and Saturday at 9pm.
According to Global Village, this season will feature musical concerts, a live circus show and also a new ‘Cyber City Stunt Show’, which will include flying bikes and other action stunts. For younger visitors, Global Village has organised a ‘Kids Theatre’ and interative shows and workshops.
Electric traditional abra rides in Global Village
RTA also announced that it will resume its electric abra for Global Village. According to RTA’s the abra has a seating capacity of nine passengers and the cost for the abra trip is as follows:
Dh52.50 (including Value Added Tax) to book the entire abra per trip for 12 to 15 minutes.
