OPN EDITS — GULF NEWS EDUFAIR SET TO ANSWER ALL YOUR HIGHER EDUCATION QUERIES: Gulf News Edufair is back and this time, representatives from more than 25 prestigious universities and ten career service providers from the UAE and abroad are part of the annual event, providing students with all the information they need to chalk out a comprehensive plan for higher studies and career planning. More than 5,000 visitors are expected to attend the event over the three days of its duration, starting today. Students and their family members attending the event will have an opportunity to interact directly with academics, education counsellors, career planners, admissions officers and faculty members, who will be offering help and guidance in chalking out a sound strategy for higher education pursuits in the UAE and abroad – with an eye primarily on the September 2022 and January 2023 intakes. Edufair, in that sense, serves as a one-stop shop to answer all your questions regarding higher studies and future academic pursuits. The announcements of new flights by the likes of flydubai and Saudia are timely. They serve notice of what’s available for all those wanting to hop over to catch a match time to plan. These new frequencies will also reduce the chances of ticket rates soaring into the Dh6,000-Dh7,000 realms, as many had been fearing for some time now. Will more flights be added between now and November by more airlines? Anything would help if the price of a ticket to Doha rests easy on the pockets.
