NEW RESEARCH ON CLOUD SEEDING IN UAE CAN BE A GAME CHANGER: The National Center of Meteorology, through UAE Research Programme for Rain Enhancement Science, has announced the start of a new project that will involve the deployment of artificial intelligence (AI) to achieve enhanced rainfall in the country. As part of this new research initiative, a unique AI framework will be built to combine satellite observations, ground-based weather radar data, rain gauges and numerical weather prediction estimates to determine optimal cloud seeding timings and locations. When it comes to research and development and utilisation of latest technology for the greater good of the community, the UAE has always been an exemplar of sorts. For a country and a region that is naturally rain-deprived, this new project to achieve more accurate cloud seeding results may well turn out to be a game changer in terms of agriculture and enriching the flora and fauna of the UAE. Rein in those payment periods, especially when it comes to what’s owed to you. This is turning out to be a summer of heavy adjustments…[COMMENT BY: Manoj Nair, Business Editor]
