VERSTAPPEN CAN INFLICT MORE DAMAGE TO LECLERC'S TITLE CHANCES TONIGHT: Red Bull driver Max Verstappen will be on pole position later tonight for the Canadian Grand Prix with Alpine’s Fernando Alonso a surprise second. It is the first time the 40-year-old former world champion will be on the front-row grid since 2012. Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz will start in third place while Verstappen’s title rival Charles Leclerc (Ferrari) will start at the back as a penalty for using too many power-unit components during practice. That means Verstappen will have a great chance tonight to inflict more damage on Leclerc in the championship and with rain expected we could have a race filled with thrills and spills.
