MAS Paints: Water Colour Spray Painting Workshop: Your child will develop his/her motor skills while expressing himself/herself in this session. Kids will use a watercolour spray painting exercise to create a masterpiece of their own – which they get to take home of course. DETAILS: This session is perfect for those over five. Each workshop will have a maximum of four participants and is free to attend. Classes are on November 12 and 13, from 11am-6.30pm at Building 6, R05

Sustainable Arts and Crafts Workshop by Jojos Art House: Kids learn how to upcycle in this module. The creations will share a theme – planet earth and all its amazing creatures. The take-away? Wood Turning: Egg Cup Holder by StuDIYo Lab: Children create their own wood product that they can use each and every single day. Kids over the age of seven participating in this session will develop motor skills even as they pick up a new craft. When finished, participants can personalise their carving design and enhance the finish with colour and decoration. DETAILS: Dh150 for the class that runs from 3.30pm-4.30pm on November 12.

Wood Turning: Pen Workshop by StuDIYo Lab: Here’s another wood-making exercise that’s sure to thrill. Participants will learn the art of wood turning using the Wood Turning Lathe Machine and create their own wooden pens. For this workshop, participants will be learning the ergonomics and techniques behind wooden pen designing. Participants will be guided and assisted in creating their own functional pens which they will then customise. DETAILS: Recommended for those over five; the session costs Dh150. The workshop is on November 9 and 13, from 1.30pm-3pm.

DIY Plastic Bags Recycling by NYUAD – Plastic Recycling Research Lab: Participants will learn to recycle plastic into fabric and use that to create beautiful and durable products like coin purses. During this free workshop, tools and other materials will be available and participants can bring their own plastic bags. There will be a tutorial to follow and assistance will be provided. DETAILS: The workshops, on November 12 and 13, are open to all above age 10. Classes run fom 3.30pm-4.40pm.

Camel Leather Notebook making by Hello Makers!: Kids, over the age of seven, can participate and learn how to create their own customised notebook made from locally tanned camel leather from Al Ain. From the colour of the leather to the pattern and stitching, finishing with the decoration using studs, rivets, ribbons or an embossing machine—the workshop participants will discover the basic tools and ways of leather crafting whilst also getting a satisfying and unique experience. DETAILS: Class to run on November 11 from 4.30pm-7pm and cost Dh150.

Creating with Clay by Guddi Bajaj/Innara: Children love ‘getting their hands dirty’ and with this activity, participants have licence to play in the mud! All the clay is sourced in Fujairah so is 100 per cent local and natural. Children will be guided as they create two or three options with their clay which they get to take home with them at the end of the class. DETAILS: This workshop, on November 12 from 1pm-2pm, is for those aged between 7 and 14 and costs Dh65.
