Check out Roxy Cinema: Head to the halls at City Walk or The Beach for a movie scene with a difference. To get you into the mood of the season, staff will be dressed up in ghoulish costumes, the foyer will be kitted out with cobwebs and skeletons, and there’ll be trick-or-treating on site. Visit a haunted village at Le Meridien Dubai: The Warehouse is turning into a haunted village over the weekend. On Friday, there are themed performances that are sure to incite squeals and gasps. It’s perfect if you’ve got teens with whom you want to celebrate the night. It is from 1pm-4pm, Dh135 per person with soft drinks. Check out the monster food options at Liwan restaurant, Swissôtel Al Ghurair: The Halloween brunch on Friday offers nosh from around the world, and this week, that spread includes a themed spread of dishes such as smoked duck confit roulade with red bell pepper, beetroot and pistachio-crusted rack of lamb, monster cake pops and coffin break cake. For the kids, entertainment comes in the form of the Little Chef’s cooking class, where they’ll learn how to make Pumpkin Rocher Pops; a Zumba class; a paint-the-pumpkin session; and of course trick or treat time. Halloween special at OliOli: For a limited time only and to celebrate its fourth year, this children’s museum has announced a 25 per cent discount on memberships. For Halloween, the play station has added an extra activation – a scavenger hunt for kids – they will go around the museum to solve challenges, rhymes, puzzles and riddles, and in turn be rewarded with sweets.
