Swara Bhaskar is yet another actor to have chosen a politician as a spouse. The actor announced her wedding to Samajwadi Party leader Fahad Zirar Ahmad. Bhaskar, who is a social activist in her own right, reportedly met Ahmad at a protest event in 2020.

Ayesha Takia, from 'Taarzan The Wonder Car', and Farhan Azmi, the son of Member of the Legislative Assembly of Maharashtra Abu Asim Azmi, wed in 2009. Azmi was the state president of the Yuva Cell (youth wing of the party) from 2014 - 2018 as a member of the Samajwadi Party. The couple share a nine-year-old son.

In 1976, Elizabeth Taylor and Warner first crossed paths during a blind date at a bicentennial dinner held in honor of Queen Elizabeth at the British Embassy. Their connection blossomed swiftly, and just a few months later, they exchanged vows. Warner's political career also saw success when he ran for Congress in 1978, with Taylor's presence drawing sizable crowds at his campaign events, as reported by The Washington Post. Although the couple later divorced in 1982, they continued to maintain a friendly relationship.

Kate Mulgrew, renowned for her role in 'Orange is the New Black,' was previously married to Tim Hagan, a former county commissioner in Ohio's Cuyahoga County who also pursued the position of governor in Ohio. Their marriage took place in 1999. Hagan, as a candidate for governor in 2002, ran in a contested race but was ultimately defeated by his Republican opponent. He later made the decision to retire from politics in 2010. Unfortunately, the couple's marriage came to an end in 2014. Kate Mulgrew is currently portraying Susan Sher, who served as Michelle Obama's chief of staff, in the Showtime series 'The First Lady.'

Sheryl Lee Ralph is in a marital union with Vincent Hughes, a Pennsylvania state senator. Ralph, known for her roles in 'Moesha,' 'Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit,' and her current portrayal of Barbara Howard in 'Abbott Elementary,' was introduced to Hughes by a mutual acquaintance, as reported by People magazine. They exchanged marriage vows in 2005.
