Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority announced on Saturday that Route 2020, the Dubai Metro extension on the Red Line to Expo 2020 Dubai, will be opened to passengers from January 1, 2021

The release added that the waiting time between each train would be 10 minutes, while the total time taken for the journey between the Jebel Ali and Al Furjan stations would be six minutes
