2011 US Open - Just two months after his Masters meltdown, when he blew a four-shot lead heading into the final day, McIlroy became the youngest US Open champion since Bobby Jones in 1923 and the youngest major winner since Tiger Woods triumphed at the Masters in 1997.

2012 PGA Championship - The Ulsterman secured a second major triumph at Kiawah Island’s Ocean Course with a sublime eight-stroke victory. The win saw him return to top spot in the OWGR while also becoming the youngest winner of the tournament since it adopted strokeplay in 1958.

2012 Deutsche Bank Open - A final round 67 saw McIlroy overturn Louis Oosthuizen’s three-stroke overnight lead to pick up his third PGA Tour triumph of the year at TPC Boston. The victory also meant only Tiger Woods, with 15, had won more PGA tournaments than McIlroy before the age of 24.

2012 BMW PGA Championship - With the Ryder Cup fast approaching, McIlroy won for the second successive week on the PGA Tour’s FedEx Cup Playoffs with a two-shot victory over Lee Westwood and Phil Mickelson in Indiana. Despite his four wins in 2012, McIlroy would finish second in the season-long points race with Brandt Snedeker topping the bill after sealing the Tour Championship, the final event of the season.

2014 PGA Championship - McIlroy became the first player from the United Kingdom to win back-to-back majors with a gripping PGA Championship triumph in near darkness at Valhalla after heavy rain had led to a two-hour delay. McIlroy’s three-under 68 was enough to see off Phil Mickelson by one stroke, with Rickie Fowler and Henrik Stenson a shot further adrift.

2015 WGC-Cadillac Match Play - McIlroy picked up his first, and only, professional match play title with a 4&2 victory over America's Gary Woodland at TPC Harding Park. McIlroy had earlier beaten Billy Horschel, Jason Dufner and Brandt Snedeker in the group stage before seeing off Hideki Matsuyama, Paul Casey and Jim Furyk en route to the final.

2015 Wells Fargo Championship - McIlroy secured a second triumph at the event (formerly known as the Quail Hollow Championship) by shattering the tournament scoring record by five strokes with a stunning 72-hole total of 21-under 267. He had also set the course-record during the third round thanks to sublime 61 at Quail Hollow Club.

2016 Deutsche Bank Open - McIlroy had to wait 16 months for his next PGA Tour title, and it came in familiar surroundings as he picked up the Deutsche Bank Open for the second time. He started the final round six shots behind leader Paul Casey, but seven birdies in a six-under-par 65 saw him finish two shots clear at 15 under.

2016 Tour Championship - McIlroy took home the whopping $10m FedEx Cup prize after finishing top of the season-long points race with a dramatic play-off victory over Ryan Moore. The pair could not be separated after three holes but McIlroy superbly sunk a birdie putt from 15 feet on the fourth extra hole to win the season-ending tournament.

2018 Arnold Palmer Invitational - McIlroy, whose last victory came on the day Arnold Palmer died, ended his 18-month trophy drought with a fine final round display at Bay Hill. The then 28-year-old carded an eight-under-par 64 to finish on 18 under, three ahead of Bryson DeChambeau in Florida.

2019 Players Championship - McIlroy got his hands on the ‘fifth major’ after beating Jim Furyk by one shot in a thrilling final round at TPC Sawgrass. In winning the prestigious tournament, McIlroy became just the second player from the UK to win the PGA Tour’s flagship event following Sandy Lyle in 1987.

2019 RBC Canadian Open - McIlroy flirted with the elusive 59 while cruising to victory at Hamilton Golf and Country Club, but fell just short as he posted 61, giving him a seven-shot victory in Canada’s National Open. It was his fifth win in a national open, following victories at the US Open, Australian Open, Open Championship and Irish Open.

2019 Tour Championship - McIlroy won the Tour Championship and the FedEx Cup for the second time in his career with a final round 66 leaving him four shots clear of second-placed Xander Schauffele. His win was made more remarkable because he started the tournament five shots behind Justin Thomas after a rule change which awarded players a starting score based on their FedEx Cup rank, which descended from -10 for the leader, down to level par for players ranked 26-30.

2019 WGC-HSBC Champions - McIlroy sealed a third WGC title with a play-off victory over defending champion Xander Schauffele in Shanghai. The pair were tied at 19 under par after four rounds after Schauffele sunk a six-foot birdie putt on the last to force the play-off with the four-time major champion. A birdie at the first extra hole would be enough for McIlroy to lift the impressive trophy after his American counterpart could only make par.

2021 Wells Fargo Championship - McIlroy completed a hat trick of victories at the Wells Fargo Championship, and put an end to 18-month drought in the process, with a one shot win over Abraham Ancer at Quail Hollow. The win came just six weeks after starting work with world-renowned coach Pete Cowen, who has a number of academies in Dubai.
