Dubai-based MG Keyser shot a second consecutive six-under par 66, for an 18-under par, in the $1.5 million International Series - Thailand at Black Mountain Golf Club on Sunday, to move up 25 spots to finish in tied-11th place.
Keyser had two nines of 33 and, as with his third round, shot six birdies and no bogeys, to win $23,737.50 and moves up to 20th on the 2022 Asian Tour Order of Merit.
American Sihwan Kim, started the day tied second on 17-under, three shots back of local third-round leader Phachara Khongwatmai.
Kim went to the turn in 29 shots and then birdied holes 10 and 13 to lie eight-under for the round. He was then on ‘59 watch,’ but a bogey on the 14th, his third dropped shot on that hole in four attempts during the week, hurt. He responded with a brilliant greenside bunker shot for a birdie on the 15th. A bogey, birdie, par finish on Kim’s last three holes saw him secure his first career victory.
Two back
Khongwatmai finished with a four-under, to finish in sole second place, two back of the champion.
Kim finished ninth on the season long 2013 European Challenge Tour Rankings to first gain his European Tour Card, culminating in the Challenge Tour Grand Final at Al Badia Golf Club, Dubai, where he finished tied 29th in the event won by Dubai resident and fellow Asian Tour player Shiv Kapur .
Kim takes home $270,000 and moves to the top of the Asian Tour Order of Merit after just three tournaments with $312,350.
The next event on the Asian Tour is The DGC Open, at Delhi Golf Club, India, to be played March 24-27 and boasts a $500,000 purse.
