Dubai: The Dubai Police has added another Guinness World Record to its bag.
This time, it is for the record of the longest distance driven on the rear wheels of an all-terrain vehicle (ATV).
Captain Abdullah Al Hattawi of Dubai Police was the one riding the ATV for 60 kilometres. This has surpassed the previous world record of 50 kilometres set by Lucas Henwood in Saskatchewan, Canada on September 19, 2015.
A video shared by Dubai Police on their official Instagram account shows a convoy of Dubai Police and Dubai Police supercars guiding Captain Al Hattawi through his journey, which began in Ghantoot area and ended at the Dubai World Trade Centre where The Dubai Motorbike Festival is currently being held.
The festival is marked every year to celebrate everything on two wheels. Its official website states that it is an opportunity for “riders, motorcycle enthusiasts, biker clubs, manufacturers, retailers, regional and international motorcycle brands to showcase their products and services to the UAE’s biker community”.
The festival is running in Dubai on January 12 and 13.
