Dubai: The Security Industry Regulatory Authority (SIRA) in Dubai has honoured four security guards in recognition of their efforts in putting out a vehicle fire in front of the parking area of the Habtoor City Hotel on Sheikh Zayed Road.

The security guard from Skill Force Security Services received a report about the fire and immediately contacted the security supervisor at the hotel, who in turn called in the response team that acted promptly, helping to extinguish the fire and prevent it from spreading to other areas.

SIRA officials Jamal Al Amri, director of Institutional Communication; Engineer Khaled Al Hamadi, director of Standards and Control, and Mohammed Al Mazmi, director of Security Service Providers, honoured the guards by awarding each of them a Medal of Courage. This medal is awarded in recognition of individuals who demonstrate extraordinary courage in emergency situations and crises.
