Dubai: The UAE has advised its citizens wishing to perform Umrah during Ramadan to apply through Nusuk application to get a permit before travelling to Saudi Arabia.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation advised citizens to abide by travel guidelines before travelling to the Kingdom to perform Umrah.
They first need to register through the Nusuk app to obtain Umrah permits. The ministry urged Emirati citizens who wish to perform Umrah during Ramadan to ensure they obtain the required permits and stick to the specified date to help avoid overcrowding.

The app can be downloaded from the Apple Store and Google Play.
Earlier this month, the Saudi Arabia said that pilgrims can obtain permits through the Nusuk app to perform Umrah during Ramadan.
The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah said the platform will help domestic and international pilgrims to find available dates to perform Umrah, based on the capacity of the Grand Mosque in Mecca.
Pilgrims are only permitted to perform the ritual once during Ramadan.
