Sharjah: Consumers were urged to report commercial fraud as inspection campaigns on business establishments whose activity is related to the holy month of Ramadan have been intensified by the Sharjah Economic Development Department (SEDD).

The inspection campaigns organised by the department included the various cities and regions of Sharjah.
Salim Al Suwaidi, Deputy Director of Commercial Control and Protection Department in SEDD, said the department has intensified its inspection campaigns.
The official reminded everyone concerned about the need to adhere to all laws in force in the emirate, providing the best services to consumers. He also stressed that goods that do not conform to standards or meet the terms and conditions should not be promoted and sold.
Al Suwaidi stressed that it is important to clarify the price of goods to the consumer to prevent any abuses in the sales process, combat commercial fraud and limit negative practices that some merchants may resort to.
