Saudi Arabia announced 327 new cases of the coronavirus on Wednesday, bringing to 2,932 the total number of confirmed infections across the kingdom.
The Health Ministry spokesperson, Mohammed Al Abdulali, said: “We have recorded 36 new recoveries. This brings the total number of recovered patients to 651.”
The total cases include 41 deaths.
He said the ministry is at an important phase of monitoring the spread of the COVID-19 in the country.
The new figures come just a day after Health Minister Dr Tawfiq Al Rabiah warn that coronavirus cases could reach up to 200,000 cases if precautionary measures and home quarantine instructions are not followed by people.
He said it would take four months to a year to contain the coronavirus disease if measures to counter the disease are not followed.
