Abu Dhabi Golf Club’s Lara El Chaib, playing off a plus-one handicap, shot a two-under-par gross 70 to win the Els Club Ladies Open.
The 18-hole event saw El Chaib quick out of the blocks with birdies on holes two, three and eight and, with a dropped shot on six, went out in 34.
A solid level-par back nine, with a birdie on 13 and a dropped shot on 17, saw El Chaib take the title by five shots from Emirates Golf Club’s Liang Wei Liu with 75.
The tournament was a qualifier for the 2021-2022 Emirates Golf Federation Ladies Order of Merit.
The net division was won by Arabian Ranches Golf Club’s Leila Aghabi with a 76. The next EGF Ladies Order of Merit event is the EGC Ladies Open on March 13.
