Ras Al Khaimah: A rescue team saved a 30-year-old Emirati man after he fell from a mountain in Wadi Haqeel, Ras Al Khaimah and sustained severe injuries.

The team from Ras Al Khaimah Police worked in collaboration with the National Search and Rescue Center of the National Guard, the Ras Al Khaimah Civil Defence, and the Air Wing of Ras Al Khaimah Police.

Police said they received a report about a UAE citizen who fell in the rugged area. Immediately, several specialised teams were dispatched to the specified location, where they succeeded in reaching the man after continuous searching in the mountainous terrain.

It was found that he had a severe injury that required his transfer via a helicopter, belonging to the National Center for Search and Rescue of the National Guard. The injured Emirati was transported to the hospital to receive the necessary medical care, while the relevant authorities at the Rams Comprehensive Police Station took over the incident file to complete the necessary procedures.

The General Command of the Ras Al Khaimah Police urged citizens, residents, and tourists who enjoy mountain climbing to take all necessary precautions and preventive measures to prevent such incidents. Additionally, they should inform the relevant police authorities before heading to mountainous areas to specify the locations they intend to visit. This will facilitate the process of locating and reaching them in case of any emergency.

Officials confirmed the readiness of Ras Al Khaimah Police to help to those in need at any time.
